northern quarter

news

The Northern Quarter has been undergoing a process of organic growth and change for a number of years. It is now well established as one of the unique places to shop, eat and be seen in Manchester. The regeneration of the area is bringing to life hidden gems which make the area what it is to day - interesting architecture, unique public art, craft and design activities, and an abundance of historical elements - all adding to the charm and personality of this quirky area of the city.

The longer-term regeneration of the area has been considered for some time and a plan has been formulated for the way ahead. Whilst retaining its individual character the area needs to grow to survive and an outline plan is now available for the regeneration strategy of Northern Quarter. This can be found at www.manchester.gov.uk.

A lot is happening and a lot more is planned - see below with a snapshot of the latest news. If you have anything you think would be of interest to the wider Northern Quarter community or those visiting the area - let us know - send your information on the form on this page and it will be posted for you free of charge.
