Over the next two years United Utilities will be undertaking a programme of work throughout the city to replace old cast iron water pipes with new plastic ones. This work will begin in the Northern Quarter from Friday 11th January.

In an attempt to help minimise disruption, Cityco(the City Centre Management Company), will be publishing a list of locations and timetables for all of the planned work.
